Ask customer for email / name while chatting. Pre-chat form in chat

It would be nice to have a input box drop into the chat window, as the chatting is going, asking for the users name / mail, and it would fill out the name and email in the dashboard. it could be an option under pre-chat form called "while-in-chat form" or something like that :)

    No i mean when we on prechat so it appear after first message like i am user and i visit any website and there is tawk chat ok so when i send any message like hi it will appear prechat form does it make sense?

    Many live chat software can collect info in Pre-chat and in-chat!But,Tawk.to can only collect info from Pre-chat.Could you update it ?

    The ideal for this function is as it exists in other chats, the pre-chat appears naturally as if it were a conversation balloon, as if the attendant had talked to him and asking first the name and then the email.

    And also I can choose when it appears, example: I create a trigger to give a friendly answer every time a user starts a coversa, then after this initial message, in the same conversation appear a chat asking the name of the client, and after that he answers the name by asking the email.

    During a chat, we need to have the option to push a form filler to a customer. Instead of EVERY time having to ask a set of questions to a customer. When you provide a service at their house, and you have to get their name, address, email, phone, etc. This is not something you can request pre chat, because you'll never get any chats at all. Rather than leaving it up to the agents to always ask for the info, it would be better to always send the same fields for them to fill out on the customers side.

    Please add the option to update visitors contact number along with his/her name and email id while chatting. You can check the image below which shows that contact number update option is not available while chatting with any visitor, only Name & email option is there.

    I would be nice if you can send a form while chatting with your visitor, since doing the first visit trigger disables the pre-chat form it would be nice if you can make a custom form and send it while chatting

    Like when trigger message appears to consumer then consumer types something and there should be an email box after that.

    To structure user input i would like ability to create custom forms which can be sent to visitor on demand. Useful for product selection/configuration, contact details, etc.

    Same here: we need a way to CHANGE the V123123123123 to a contact/email after the chat started. The pre-chat form is one option but there are situations when you cannot ask the visitor for email before the conversation.
